In the northernmost stop of their West Coast tour, Los Angeles-based electroacoustic duo Mem1 (Mark and Laura Cetilia, cello + electronics) will be joined by B.C. luminaries for an evening of experimental music. Composer / performer Andrea Young‘s electroacoustic work Infinitesimals will be premiered by violist Robin Streb; Young will also perform composer André Cormier‘s En Monochrome for voice and electronics. Vancouver-based percussionist Jeffrey Allport joins forces with autoharpist Chandan Narayan to embark on “exploratory improvisations,” and Victoria-based sound artist Jamie Drouin will complete the evening with a piece for improvised electronics and video.
