one cool word magazine, described by Urban Vancouver as “the little arts magazine that could,” is celebrating its 4th birthday on Friday, May 28 at 8:00 p.m. at Blim with a free event that showcases creative work by the past year’s contributors. Stop in for a cupcake, provided by Revel Events, and check out stunning artwork – including the current Wonderfat exhibit by Judit Navratil – exhibited alongside visual displays of written work. Listen to readings by Trisha Cull, Taryn Hubbard, and Rob Taylor, and performances by Roger Dean Young (of Roger Dean Young & the Tin Cup) and Freddie Mojallal (of the Autumn Portrait). Best of all, you can take home your own piece of art from our affordable art sale (donated artwork sold for up to $50) or collage your own button to wear home!
