Dave Phillips and Sophia Danai
Dave Phillips got his start when he was drafted to play guitar on Brian Dunn’s fateful “Hash Country” debut. The record was produced by Ontario alt country cowboys OX. Soon the young recruit was driving the band van and drifting further astray within the loosely defined boundaries of alt-country music. He has since come into his own as a solo artist. After three tours of the UK and Ireland Phillips is back home supporting his recently released debut EP “1887–1905”.
Vancouver singer/songwriter Sophia Danai is an artist who embraces life in all its moments. With a soulful and unique sound, she communicates the deeply human experiences of heart, loss, and the spirit’s ability to move forward and contribute. You will find she translates this effortlessly through her story telling and infectious melodies.
